Beauty and the Beast was the first animated movie to garner a Best Picture Oscar nomination. That follows the tale of Belle, who becomes imprisoned in a castle by the Beast, a former prince who was cursed. He’ll remain a beast forever if he can’t find love- and find someone to love him in turn, despite his hideous appearance.

Plot: Bella goes to live in the Beast’s castle in place of her father. The monster was a prince once, but he’s now trapped in a monstrous body due to a curse. The two know each other, and Bella realizes the Beast isn’t as terrible as he seems. Furthermore, many humanized objects make her stay in the haunted castle very pleasant.
